TerraGate Spatial Framework Services (SFS) provides the following services, via
the SFS server:
Web Feature Service (WFS)
Do you want to share geospatial feature data with all WFS-client applications?
TerraGate Web Feature Service delivers layers of features, via the WFS server, to
any application that reads the standard OGC WFS protocol. WFS retrieves layers of
features from Shape files and from the Oracle, SQL server, PostGIS and ArcSDE databases and enables remote clients to perform spatial and attribute queries, and edit feature data (creation, deletion, and updating).
Do you want to retrieve data rapidly even from slow data sources?
WFS uses a cache mechanism that helps it reduce loads from slower data sources such as ArcSDE or Oracle.
Web Map Service (WMS)
Are you looking for software that will enable you to share geospatial map data
with any WMS-client application?
TerraGate Web Map Service delivers map image data, via the WMS server, to
any application that reads the standard OGC WMS protocol.
Do you want to easily manage data sources and layers and monitor server status?
You can do all the following from the SFS Manager, using a browser web interface:
- Connect the WFS and WMS servers to their data sources (e.g. Oracle Spatial, ArcSDE, Pre-cached data)
- Monitor server status and performance
- Configure WFS and WMS server settings
- Modify and add user names, passwords, and permissions
- Define streaming layers from the data sources
