Layer Window Commands
The following commands are available above each layer window:

Image |
Click this tab to view image layers selected for display in the layer window: Note: Only layers in View or Edit mode are displayed in the Working Window. Only layers in Reference mode are displayed in the Reference Window. |
Elevation |
Click this tab to view elevation layers selected for display in the layer window: Note: Only layers in View or Edit mode are displayed in the Working Window. Only layers in Reference mode are displayed in the Reference Window. |
Superimpose Windows slider |
Slide the slider all the way to the left to show the content of the slider’s window and all the way to the right to show the content of the other layer window. When the slider moves between these extremes, the display dissolves from one to the other, superimposing one view on the other. Note: The Superimpose Windows slider is only displayed when Windows Lock is selected. |
Windows Lock/Pan Lock |
Click the button to toggle linkage of the Reference Window and Working Window. Click the arrow to select a linking method: § Windows Lock - Both layer windows show the same geographical area at the same resolution level. § Pan Lock - Both layer windows show the same geographical area, but at independent resolution levels. Note: All linked settings are determined by the initiating window. |
All Polygons/Edit Polygons |
Click the button to toggle display of polygon borders for layers selected for display in the layer window. In the Working Window you can also click the arrow to select which polygon borders should be displayed: § All Polygons - Show the borders of all polygons attached to layers in View or Edit mode. § Edit Polygons - Show only the borders of polygons that are attached to layers in Edit mode. |
All Frames/Edit Frames |
Click the button to toggle display of frames for layers selected for display in the layer window. In the Working Window, you can also click the arrow to select which frames should be displayed: § All Polygons - Show the frames of all layers in View or Edit mode. § Edit Polygons - Show only the frames of layers in Edit mode. |

When this button is selected, the window displays the layers with the polygons operation implemented. When this button is deselected the polygon implementations are not visible. |
Zoom Bar |
Slide the Zoom Bar (located on the right side of the Layer Window) to adjust the resolution. |
The following fields are available below each layer window:
Field |
Description |
Resolution Level |
The resolution level currently used for the window display. To change the resolution level of the display, click the Resolution Level control and select the required resolution display level. The available levels are based on the Project Ruler and Range. |
Color/Elevation Reading |
§ In Image view, it displays the RGB (color) reading where the cursor is pointing. § In Elevation view, it displays the elevation reading where the cursor is pointing. Note: When using the measuring tools, this field displays the length or area data. |
Cursor Coordinates |
The geographical coordinates where the cursor is pointing. |
Error Log |
The number of messages in the log. This field is only displayed below the Working Window. To view or hide the log, click this icon. See “Error/Message Log” in this chapter for more information. |
Note: Some fields may not be in view until the panel size is enlarged.
