Layer in Layer List

To display a shortcut menu for a layer in the Layer List:

§  Right-click the layer.

Note:    Right-clicking a layer(s) in the Layer List automatically switches it to Edit mode. Right click menu selections apply to all layers that are in Edit mode.

Command

Description

Jump & Fit to View

Fit and center the layer in the Working Window.

Note:    This command appears on the menu when only one layer is in Edit mode.

Create Group

Create a new group and then drag layers into the group folder.

Note:    This command appears only in the Project Tree view.

Insert Imagery Layer

Add an imagery layer to a group.

Note:    This command appears only when a group or the root is right-clicked.

Insert Elevation Layer

Add an elevation layer to a group.

Note:    This command appears only when a group or the root is right-clicked.

Insert TerraBuilder Project

Add a TBP file to your project.

Note:    This command appears only when a group or the root is right-clicked. See “Inserting Projects” in the “Layer Management” chapter for more information.

View

Displays this layer in the Working Window. It cannot be edited unless it is also in Edit mode. A layer that is only in View mode has a gray frame.

Edit

Switches the layer to Edit mode. A layer selected for editing automatically becomes visible in the Working Window, even if the View mode check box is not selected.

Reference

Displays all layers in Edit mode in the Reference Window.

Create Resolution Pyramid

Create a resolution pyramid for a layer that has an insufficient resolution pyramid for the project. SeeCreating Resolution Pyramids” in the “Layer Management” chapter for more information.

Remove

Deletes all layers in Edit mode from the project.

Rename

Rename the layer.

View Project Tree/View Ordered Layer List

Switches to the Ordered Layer List/Project Tree view.

Sort by

Select the required sorting method of the layers in a group.

Note:    This command appears only in the Project Tree view when a group is right-clicked.

Note:    All group management commands are accessed through the right-click menus.
