Working with Photos

This section covers how to select, exclude, delete, and add photos to collections.

Selecting Photos

Photos can be selected either in the 3D Window or from the Photos list to perform various commands on them, e.g., delete or exclude a photo, open in photo viewer, or modify photo properties.

To select photos:

1.      In the Project Panel, select the Photos group.

2.      In the 3D Window, click the photo you want to select, or select the photo(s) in the Photos list. You can multi-select photos using the Photos list commands.

Note:       If you turned on global selection, you can select a photo in the 3D Window even without first selecting the Photos group in the Project Panel as long as the photos are visible in the 3D Window.

See "Showing and Hiding Group Items" and "Selecting Items Using the Item List" and "Selecting Objects in the 3D Window" in the "Basic Concepts" chapter for information.

Excluding a Photo

To exclude a photo from the project:

Note:   Photos can only be excluded when Review mode is off. See "About Reviewing Your Build" in the "Reviewing Your Build" chapter for more information about Review mode.

1.      Select the required photo. See "Selecting Photos" in this chapter for information.

2.      On the Photo tab, in the Selection group, click Exclude. You can also exclude a photo by selecting its Exclude check box in the photo list.

Deleting a Photo

To delete a photo from the project:

Note:   Photos can only be deleted when Review mode is off. See "About Reviewing Your Build" in the "Reviewing Your Build" chapter for more information about Review mode.

Note:   When a photo is deleted from a project, the photo is no longer available for inclusion within the same project.

1.      Select the required photo. See "Selecting Photos" in this chapter for information.

2.      On the Photo tab, in the Selection group, click Delete. The photo is deleted from the photo list.
